When you sign the declaration, the website collects certain information to identify you as a unique signatory. This information includes:
- Your name (only first name and last initial show on website)
- Your email address (does not show on website)
- The date you signed (does not show on website)
- Your IP address (does not show on website)
- Optional information: Your organization.
- Optional information: Your country.
We will use this information to gauge support for democratic values in CEE and possible interest in similar projects.
We also use this information to identify unique signatories. All website visitors can see first names with last initials, country (if entered), and affiliation (if entered).

We do not collect any personal data from website visitors who do not sign the declaration.

In order to fulfill our mission to promote CEE democracy, we may share anonymized collective data with the National Endowment for Democracy for informational purposes. We do not share any personal data with NED.
